liquid_lime_quart1.jpgAGGRAND Natural Organic Lime is an easy, effective alternative to bagged lime for use on permanent ground covers such as turf, pastures and hay fields. This product utilizes very fine lime in a liquid suspension, which is absorbed by the leaves and roots.
Our #1 product for our hay & pasture customers.

AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime should be used with AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer 4-3-3 to supply additional calcium to crops such as tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, and lettuce that need copious amounts of this vital nutrient.

  • High-quality super-fine limestone
  • Specifically formulated for foliar and root applications
  • Use on lawns, pastures and hay field
  • Easily Combines with AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer to supply additional calcium in one application
  • Easy-to-apply liquid concentrate produces no dusty mess

Increased Calcium Levels

When soil pH is below 6.0, plants show signs of calcium deficiency such as yellowing of leaves, retarded growth of roots and shoots, dieback of growing tips and premature death of older leaves. AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime applications are the easy way to correct a calcium deficiency without tilling in bagged lime. Increasing calcium levels increases microbial activity and the proliferation of earthworms and beneficial insects. Applying bagged lime must not be ignored when soil pH is below recommended levels, however

AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime provides several advantages over dry-powdered lime materials:

  • More uniform application
  • No dust during application
  • Finer particle size
  • Quicker reaction
  • Improved Movement through the soil
  • No heavy bags to lug around - It's liquid!

Calcium is vital to plant health. It regulates opening and closing of the stomata (leaf pores), removes toxins from the tissue and contributes to the development of shoots and roots, making the plant more resistant to unwelcome invaders. Many acidic soils do not contain enough calcium to support prolific plant growth. When soil pH is below 6.0, plants may show signs of calcium deficiency such as leaf yellowing, retarded growth of roots and shoots, die-back of growing tips and premature death of older leaves. AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime applications easily correct calcium deficiencies without the need to till in bagged lime. It's the quick fix for plants which thrive in low PH Soils as well as a "ready" calcium supply for soils needing a PH adjustment.

Promotes Soil Health
Soil liming must not be ignored when planting a new lawn, pasture or hay field. Soil liming increases microbial activity and the proliferation of earthworms and beneficial insects. Soil health is an on-going process; the immediate goal, however, is producing green lawns, productive pastures and high yielding hay fields that need calcium to promote prolific plant growth.

AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime is recommended for, but not limited to, the following applications:

• Turf
• Pastures
• Hay Fields
• Other permanent ground covers

Liquid Lime not only provides convenience, but also added performance. Liquid hose end application gives the control needed for a uniform application of the lime. Unlike the dry spreaders, which are subject to wind, altering the spread pattern. Ease of application and convenience is only half the story. Performance is also improved with AGGRAND’s fine particle size suspension. More importantly, it offers greater vertical movement into the soil profile. This allows for a greater nutrient availability and microbial activity all through the root zone.

As an annual application, spring or fall would be equally acceptable. If you determine through soil tests that a significant adjustment is required, a monthly application throughout the growing season may be necessary to maintain a proper soil balance. This is preferred over a one time heavy application to allow soil microbe populations to transition to a higher pH regime rather than a rapid adjustment upsetting the biological balance in the soil.

When mixed with AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer 4-3-3, AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime is recommended for, but not limited to, the following applications requiring extra calcium:

• Tomatoes
• Potatoes
• Cabbages
• Lettuce

Typical granular or bagged limestone application for field or garden will specify to apply a certain pounds-per-acre or per 100 square feet in order to raise the soil pH, increasing alkalinity. Depending on how fine the lime is and the character of the soil, it could take three years to raise the pH of the soil one point. The time usually allowed for all the limestone to break down and become a useful part of the soil is around three years. Most ground limestone is usually 50 % through a 100 fine mesh screen.

AGGRAND Natural Liquid Lime is super finely ground Dolomitic limestone with 100% passing through a 300 fine mesh screen. When mixed, as directed, with water the lime becomes available to the plant immediately. The readily available calcium in the soil around the plants encourages the utilization of other nutrients. The crop responds with vigorous, green growth since it can now use nutrients more effectively.

Lime general application suggestions:
Folier: 15-20 gallons of water to 1-gallon of Liquid Lime per acre.
Broadcast:  25-30 gallons of water with 1-gallon of Liquid Lime per acre.

Recommendations span from 1/2 gallon per acre to 2 gallons per acre depending on the crop and soil analysis. For general suggestion per crop please review our AGGRAND Crop Guide (G2793) or for the best suggestion call and send us a copy of your soil analysis or order our test kits (part G1374).

In general but not a substitute - 1-gallon of Liquid Lime can work instantly in place of 500 lbs of ag lime. Ag lime still needs to be used for soil adjustments in PH but the liquid lime works faster for needed calcium.

Application rates vary according to plant/crop type, soil condition and weather conditions. Growers should consult the AGGRAND Crop Guide (G2793) for further Lime applications instructions.

For AG Lime, the size of the lime particles (along with temperature and soil moisture content) is what determines how fast it works. AGGRAND lime gives you the advantage so you can have immediate results. 1-800-579-0580 Ches Cain AMSOIL/AGGRAND Regency Platinum Direct Jobber
